- Use it as a carrier oil.
- Food : An important oil in oriental cuisine, sesame oil should be the go-to for sautés, in dressings for oriental salads, or noodles. It is a heart-healthy oil and has been recorded to be good for one’s blood sugar maintenance.
- Skin: The oil is naturally warming and great for massages to relieve muscle tension and pain. It has anti-aging properties and deeply nourishes the skin. It also protects the skin barrier and can be used a couple of times a week to massage the face.
- Hair: The various properties of this oil allow it to prevent premature greying and increase strength and shine.
- Ayurveda: Not only is sesame oil used for abhyanga (massages), but it is also used for oil pulling. Oil pulling can be done with a spoonful of sesame oil first thing in the morning to pull out toxins and reduce bad breath.
